How do SMS notifications work?
When you sign up for Snugglr, you'll provide your mobile phone number. You can then choose to receive SMS notifications when friends or family share new life updates. This is completely optional.
Important: Message frequency varies based on how often your friends and family share updates. Standard message and data rates may apply from your carrier.
How do I opt out of SMS notifications?
You can stop receiving SMS notifications at any time by replying STOP to any message. It's that simple. No questions asked, and you can always opt back in later if you change your mind.
What information does Snugglr collect?
We collect only the minimal information needed to operate the app:
- Your phone number (for logging in and optional SMS notifications)
- The display name you choose for your updates
That's it. We don't collect other personal information or location data.
How long are my updates stored?
All updates are automatically deleted after 48 hours. This ensures your moments stay private and that the app remains focused on recent life updates, not a permanent archive.
Do my friends need to download the app?
Nope! Your friends and family can receive notifications via SMS or email—whatever they prefer. They can view your updates through a simple web link, no app download required.
Will SMS notifications cost me money?
Snugglr does not charge for SMS notifications. However, standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. If you have an unlimited messaging plan, you typically won't incur any charges. Check with your carrier if you're unsure.
Who can see my updates?
Only the people you explicitly choose to share with. There's no public feed, no algorithm, and no strangers. Just you and your closest connections.
What makes Snugglr different from other social media?
Snugglr is intentionally minimal. We've stripped away the features that make social media stressful: no endless feeds, no ads, no political debates, no likes or comments. Just simple, ephemeral sharing with the people who matter most.
Can I save updates before they're deleted?
Currently, updates are automatically deleted after 48 hours as part of our privacy-first approach. If you want to preserve a moment, we recommend saving it to your device before sharing.
How do I get started?
Simply sign up with your phone number, choose your display name, and start sharing. You can add friends and family by inviting them through SMS or email right from the app.
